Gallery Night is a standing monthly rule, not a one-off event, and the dates around it are easy to get wrong. We read the City’s Gallery Night page and the Coral Gables Museum’s visit page on October 20, 2026. Here is the rule, the dates it produces, the museum’s free hours and how the City suggests you get around.
The short version, checked October 20, 2026
First Friday of the month, 6 to 10 p.m. The Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue, is free during those hours. The City lists October 2 and December 4, 2026. Friday, November 6, 2026 follows the rule but is not on the City’s list. The City asks visitors to use the trolley or Freebee between galleries.
The rule, in the City’s words
“Coral Gables galleries and participating art venues open their doors on the first Friday of the month from 6 to 10 p.m. as part of Coral Gables Gallery Night,” with live music and fine art. This guide names no participating galleries beyond the museum.
- The City says "Coral Gables galleries and participating art venues open their doors on the first Friday of the month from 6 to 10 p.m. as part of Coral Gables Gallery Night," with live music and fine art, and encourages visitors "to use the city's trolleys or Freebee on-demand vehicles to travel between galleries." The next dates
- Friday, November 6, 2026: the first Friday of November by the rule. The City’s page does not list it, so treat it as likely, not confirmed.
- Friday, December 4, 2026: listed on the City’s page.
- Friday, January 1, 2027: the first Friday of January by the rule, and also New Year’s Day. Freebee says it does not operate on New Year’s Day, and the museum’s hours apply “except for major holidays.” Confirm before you go.
- Friday, February 5, 2027 and Friday, March 5, 2027: from the rule, not yet listed.
Coral Gables Gallery Night (first Fridays)

City event page header: "October 2, 2026 · December 4, 2026"; event overview "December 4 2026 · 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM". The rule "first Friday of the month from 6 to 10 p.m." implies November 6, 2026, which the page does not list separately.

Free entry at the Coral Gables Museum
The museum says that “Each first Friday of the month, the Coral Gables Museum opens its doors to the public for free from 6-10 PM as part of Coral Gables Gallery Night.” On a normal visit its admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and $8 for children 7 to 12, with children 6 and under, members and military free. Two adults and two children aged 7 to 12 would pay $46 on an ordinary day, by our arithmetic, and nothing on Gallery Night.
Mind the gap in the schedule. On a regular Friday the museum is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., so on Gallery Night there are 1 hour between the daytime close and the 6 p.m. free opening. The museum occupies the Old Police and Fire Station, which the City says was designed by Phineas Paist.

Getting there by trolley or Freebee, as the City suggests
The City encourages visitors “to use the city’s trolleys or Freebee on-demand vehicles to travel between galleries.” Both are free. The trolley runs Monday through Saturday until 10 p.m., the same hour Gallery Night ends, so the last trolley hour lines up with the close. Freebee runs Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., 2 hours past the end of Gallery Night, and is booked in the Ride Freebee app or through Freebee Dispatch at 855-918-3733. Our trolley and Freebee guide has the routes, the service area and the holiday rules.
- The City says the Coral Gables Trolley "is free Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and provides service on two routes, Ponce de Leon and Grand Avenue." City of Coral Gables: Trolley
- City Freebee page: "Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.", "Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. – 12 a.m.", "Sunday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m." Freebee "will not operate" on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. City of Coral Gables: Ride Freebee
If you drive
On-street meters in Coral Gables are enforced seven days a week from 9 a.m. to midnight, so Gallery Night falls inside paid hours. Municipal Garage 2 is at 220 Aragon Avenue, and Gables Cinema, at 260 Aragon, calls it the covered garage immediately next door. At the City’s garage rate of $1.00 per 24 minutes, the full four hours from 6 to 10 p.m. comes to $10 by our arithmetic. Details for every City garage and lot are in our parking rates guide.
Along Aragon Avenue
Books & Books, at 265 Aragon Avenue, says its Coral Gables store has author events, art gallery nights and a cafe. Its posted hours run to 11 p.m. Monday to Saturday, though we read those on one store page and could not cross-check them. For dinner nearby, our Miracle Mile guide is a block away.
- Books & Books says its Coral Gables store, at 265 Aragon Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134, "has been a beloved independent bookstore since 1982", with author events, art gallery nights and a café. Books & Books: Coral Gables store page
Two more art nights in November
A week after the November Gallery Night date, on Friday, November 13, 2026, two free events are listed. The City lists the William M. Schiff Art Show at The Palace, 1 Andalusia Avenue, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Carnaval Miami lists Art in the Park at Ponce Circle Park from 7 to 11 p.m. The Carnaval Miami home page banner shows a different November date, so confirm before you go. For other dated events, see our Farmers Market 2027 page.
Art in the Park at Ponce Circle Park (Carnaval Miami)
Organiser date for 2026A free evening art event in Ponce Circle Park, part of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana's Carnaval Miami series.
