Gallery Night: first Fridays

The City says Coral Gables galleries and participating art venues open their doors on the first Friday of the month from 6 to 10 p.m., with live music and fine art, and it suggests the trolley or Freebee for getting between galleries. The Coral Gables Museum, at 285 Aragon Avenue, is free from 6 to 10 PM that night.

• The City says "Coral Gables galleries and participating art venues open their doors on the first Friday of the month from 6 to 10 p.m. as part of Coral Gables Gallery Night," with live music and fine art, and encourages visitors "to use the city's trolleys or Freebee on-demand vehicles to travel between galleries." The City’s page lists October 2 and December 4, 2026. It does not list November, although November 6, 2026 is the first Friday, so confirm that one with the City before you go. The museum’s free Family Day is on third Saturdays, 10 AM to 6 PM; by that rule the next two are November 21 and December 19, 2026.

November 13: two free art evenings

The City’s Adult Activity Center holds the 18th Annual William M. Schiff Art Show on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Palace, 1 Andalusia Ave. The City says residents and non-residents are encouraged to attend the free show, with work by local professional and non-professional artists; information is on 305-461-6765 (City of Coral Gables).

The same evening, the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana lists Art in the Park at Ponce Circle Park, Friday, November 13, 2026, 7 to 11 p.m., free, as part of its Carnaval Miami series. Its home page banner says November 16, which is a Monday, so we follow the event page and suggest you confirm (Carnaval Miami).

At Fairchild: the holidays and the palm sale

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, lists its holiday season from November 13 to December 24, with holiday decor, Santa visits and storytime with Mrs. Claus, and the South Florida Palm Society Show and Sale on Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29. Its events page prints no year for either; we read them as 2026 because they sit in its current upcoming list. Daily times are not listed (Fairchild). The garden is open daily, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and parking is free.

Actors’ Playhouse, 2026-27

Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile, lists A Christmas Carol, The Musical from December 1 to 20, 2026, Come From Away from January 27 to February 21, 2027 and Rock of Ages from March 17 to April 11, 2027. We did not check performance times. See arts and culture for the theatre’s history.

Carnaval on the Mile: March 6 and 7, 2027

The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana’s Carnaval on the Mile returns to Miracle Mile on Saturday and Sunday, March 6 and 7, 2027, from 10 a.m. Entrance is free. The organizer calls it the 28th-anniversary edition and lists local art, live music, food and children’s entertainment; the 2027 lineup was still coming soon when we checked. No end time is posted.

• The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana's Carnaval on the Mile returns to Miracle Mile on "Saturday & Sunday, March 6-7" 2027, from 10 a.m., and "The entrance is FREE". Farmers Market: 2027 season not yet confirmed

The City’s Farmers Market is held in front of City Hall at 405 Biltmore Way, although its City event page is titled Farmers Market at Merrick Park. The 2026 season ran from Saturday, January 17 to March 28, 2026, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The City had not posted a 2027 season when we checked, and the 2027 dates on third-party listings do not come from the City. We will add the dates when the City posts them.

• The City described its last farmers market season this way: "The Coral Gables Farmers Market, located in front of City Hall at 405 Biltmore Way, returns on Saturday, January 17, and will run until March 28, 2026." Not yet confirmed

• Junior Orange Bowl Parade, 2026: the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau lists Sunday, December 6, 2026 along Miracle Mile, with start time and route still to be announced (miamiandbeaches.com). The City’s parade page still showed the 2025 parade, on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m., and so did the Junior Orange Bowl’s home page. Not confirmed by the organizer or the City.
• Holiday Tree Lighting at Merrick Park, 2026: no 2026 date is posted. The City’s page still shows the 2025 event, on Friday, Dec. 5, with the tree lit at 7 p.m. (City of Coral Gables).
• NightGarden at Fairchild: Fairchild’s page says Select Evenings, November 7 to January 11, with no year and no list of evenings, so it may be last season’s page. Not confirmed for 2026-27 (Fairchild).
• Farmers Market 2027: not posted by the City; see above.
• Fairchild’s 2027 festivals: its Chocolate, Orchid and other festival pages still showed 2026 or undated details when we checked.

• The City's parade page for 2025 said: "The Junior Orange Bowl Parade returns to the streets of Coral Gables on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m." with "more than 2,000 youth community group participants." Closures and service changes to know

• Trolley: the free City trolley does not run on Sundays, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Thanksgiving 2026 is Thursday, November 26.
• Venetian Pool: the City’s FAQ says it closes to the public for annual maintenance from December to January, but no 2026-27 dates are posted. The main pool page lists normal weekly hours. See Venetian Pool.
• Lowe Art Museum: closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, among its listed holidays.
• City offices: the City had not posted 2026 holiday hours when we checked; last year’s hours do not carry over.
• Hurricane season: the National Hurricane Center says the Atlantic season runs from June 1 to November 30.

• City trolley page: "The trolley does not run on Sundays, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day." City of Coral Gables: Trolley
• The City's Venetian Pool FAQ answers "Do you close the pool for winter?" with: "We are closed to the public for annual maintenance and renovations from December to January." No exact 2026-27 closing or reopening dates are posted, and the main Venetian Pool page does not mention the winter closure. City of Coral Gables: Venetian Pool FAQs
• "The Lowe is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. The museum is currently closed Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and University Holidays." Getting there on an event day

• City garages charge $1.00 per 24 minutes with an $18.00 daily maximum. On-street meters are enforced 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to midnight. The parking page lists every City garage and visitor lot.
• The free trolley runs Monday through Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Freebee runs until 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. See getting around.
