How it got its name
The City says that in the 1940s developers and business owners saw the potential of the four-block commercial strip of Coral Way between LeJeune and Douglas Road, and in the 1950s rebranded it as a high-end shopping street, Miracle Mile. Zain, who came to be known as the Father of Miracle Mile, and says a plaque honoring him, dedicated in the 1960s, is at the western entrance.
